Good design starts with research. Understanding the problem and asking the right questions is the key to finding the right solution.
Sketches, personas, experience maps, task analysis, wireframes, mockups and prototypes are just a few of the tools we can use to craft and validate our designs.
The fidelity of deliverables should increase as designs mature. Start lo-fi and refine with each iteration. The first solution is rarely the best solution so don’t waste time agonizing over pixels for something that will most certainly change.
